Engrain Forms Joint Venture with RFM

Engrain has signed an agreement to team up with Philippine-based food and beverage company RFM Corporation. The joint venture, Engrain-RFM Pacific, Inc., will test, market, sell and distribute enhanced pasta, baking and milling products within Southeast Asia.

“The joint venture allows RFM to further upgrade its quality flour and baking products with the modern enzyme technologies from Engrain, as well as market such innovations to other flour millers in the country and the Asia Pacific region,” said Norman Uy, senior vice president and general manager of RFM’s flour-based group.

Engrain initially assisted RFM, their first customer in Southeast Asia, with technology improvement to help lower input costs while maintaining and improving flour quality.

The new venture will enable Engrain to increase its presence in the Pacific region. In turn, the partnership allows RFM to collaborate with Engrain customers and expand its technology and product offerings. RFM also offers a full-scale commercial lab for product testing which will be utilized when the companies manufacture existing products and create new products together.
